What’s new at Cottage Cove?

The new site plan is now up on the cottage cove site. Take a look at one of the proposed bike parks locations.

Skating pond is coming well. The warm weather has held it up a bit but flooding is going well. Looks like the colder weather is coming so it will be in great shape for the holidays.

Trees: We have now planted approximately 4,100 evergreens and poplars.
- Lot 1 Deke and Lindsey have planted an additional 225 evergreens.
- Lot 19 have planted some good size poplars and ornamental apple trees at very affordable prices.. A great way to jazz up their property, identify boundaries and add privacy is just a few years. It's very simple and looks awesome.

Resort Planner: We have hired a resort planner to continue with the expansion planning for Asessippi. The current plan has been in place for a number of years and with the more than overwhelming success and interest in Asessippi it is time to put in place the expansion plans for the next 20 years. We have been working with them for the past year and will continue to do so.

Jon Montgomery Book: The Community of Russell has put together a coffee table book full of excellent photos to capture the historic parade that Russell and Area hosted. Over 7,000 people attended and there were 700 people in the parade itself. The book sells for $20 and 100% of the proceeds goes to Jon's charity, The Right to Play and to the Russell Multiplex. Main Street Revitalization: Russell's Main Street Revitalization project is coming along well. By this fall, the "Old World" lamp posts will be installed, all of the arches will be lit, approximately 75 of the trees will be lit by an in ground pot lite and the charming interlocking brick at the intersections will be done. Also, this summer there will be the addition of 40 beautiful flower baskets hanging from the lamp posts.

A cottager (family) moved into their cottage in September and had it appraised recently, it came in $25,000 higher than they paid. Instant growth and that's what we like to see. We want the cottagers to have an excellent quality of life and an asset that appreciates. We work very hard to bring cottages in as affordable as possible so it is great to see this happen so quickly.
